Truly Madly Deeply is a love story that happens  between the most popular boy and girl in school. The protagonists of the story are the arrogant Rahul and shy Seema. They have several innocent encounters and their teenage attraction for each other grows 

Their friends and even some of the teachers in the school know and condome their relationship, that causes him to flaunt his girlfriend. However, Seema dislikes the sudden attention that she begins to receive as Rahul's girlfriend. Their egos clash and a series of misunderstandings causes them to drift away from each other.

The end of the relationship causes Rahul to lose himself, causing him to fall from popularity and lose his love in one swoop. He tries to woo Seema back and begins to take desperate measures to win back her love for him. The book explores the possibility of first loves ever being anyone's last in today's world. Will Seema go back to Rahul? Will he be able to convince her of his love for her?
