Never Give Up

A long time ago, there lived a boy named John Rodney in a village. He was very happy with his family. But their happiness did not last long and John Rodney and his fellow villagers had to face a severe drought. They were eagerly waiting for the rain, but with no luck, all the crops, land and even trees were not covered with rain, the stream was slowly drying up. One night, while meeting with the villagers,John Rodney said, "Guys, we've all heard stories from our grandparents about an underground river that runs through our village. Why don't we dig down and see? Villagers having no any other choice agreed and started digging.

They dug for a few days but soon gave up one by one. However, John Rodney continued digging, when people told him it is not possible we all villagers fail to dug out water here and you are alone here don't waste your energy. It is dead impossible you will not get water here and it is better to give up and go home, he said, " You all left me but God help me here and are guiding me."

One day, when he had dug deep enough, John Rodney saw water, his attitude of never giving up saved the entire village. All the villagers admire him, "Never give up so easily", John Rodney advised all the villagers. Now, they never have a shortage of water, and whenever a problem arises, all the villagers come together to find a solution.
