Invitation are of two kinds

1.Formal

2. Informal

Formal Invitation 

A formal invitation is a formal letter addressed to a dignitary or prominent official inviting them to attend a particular event. This letter needs to be a well- formatted and formally written letter with proper information about the venue, date, time, etc. so that the chief guest can schedule accordingly.

Informal Invitation

An informal invitation letter is written in the format of an informal letter. Thel etter should state the date and venue f the event. You can have a more positive and relaxed tone when writing an informal invitation letter. Make sure you proofread before you send it to there respective guests.
