Globalization is the process of international integration arising from the interchange of world views , products , ideas and other aspects , Today science and technology from the West , Global developments and innovations are drawn from different parts of the world . 

Our global heritage is world heritage. It is not just a collection of separate local cultures. There is a chain of intellectual relations that link western mathematics and science to collection of distinctly non - Western mathematics and science. The term algebra is a derived from an Arab mathematician. The West must get full credit for the remarked achievements that occurred in Europe and America by the globalization of mathematics, science and technology.

 Leave aside developments in science and technology that came from the West. There were major global developments in which the West was not even involved. The printing of the world's first book was a marvelously globalised event. The technology of printing was entirely an achievement of the Chinese. But the content came from elsewhere. The first printed book was an Indian Sanskrit treatise, translated into Chinese by a half Turk. The book is Vajracchedika Prajnaparamita Sutra (referred to as Diamond Sutra). It was printed four centuries later. This involved Turkey and India. This is globalization all right but the west is not there.

 The globalization of ideas and practices has to be resisted in India to the use of Western ideas and concepts  in science and mathematics, Macaulay saw no merit in Indian tradition and literature. The advocates of native tradition resisted Western imports altogether. There are issues connected with globalisation. They are concerned with the western imperialism.. They connect with imperialism the history of conquests, colonialism and alien rule.But it would be mistake to see globalisation as a feature of imperialism. Global economy has brought prosperity to many different areas of the globe. Pervasive  poverty dominated many areas of the globe a few areas ago.In overcoming poverty extensive economic interrelations and modern technology have been and remain influential. There are global economic contacts these days. The main issue today is how to make good use of the remarkable benefits of the economic intercourse and technological progress in a way that pays adequate attention to interests of the deprived and the poor.  dominated many areas e the globe a few years ago.  An important question concerns the sharing of the potential gains from globalization between rich and poor countries and among different groups within a country. It has to be understood and realized that the poor of the world need globalization as much as the rich.

 It is often argued that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Globalization is not unfair to the poor. Even the poor are getting richer. We cannot say that the global system is unfair because even the poor gain something. By global contacts, the poor do gain. Many of the anti - globalization protesters seeks a better deal for the underdogs of the world economy. Many anti - globalization protests have become the most globalised events in the present day world.

 There are certain injustices that characterize the world. They are closely related to various omissions. They need to be addressed. Particularly in institutional arrangements, inefficient and inequitable trade restrictions need to be removed. 

Another thing is global terrorism. A new global initiative is needed in this domain. Local wars and military conflicts have very destructive consequences. They have very destructive consequences on the economies of countries facing terrorism and other belligerent engagements. Poor countries have to spend a lot of money on the purchase of arms and weapons from other countries. The U.S. share has gone up almost 50 per cent of the total supply of arms exported in the entire world. Furthermore, as much as 68 per cent of the American weapons went to developing countries.

 The arms are used with bloody results and with devastating effects on the economy, the polity and the society. This is in a way a continuation of the unhelpful role of world powers to the growth of political militarism. The world powers have an awesome responsibility for helping in the task. 

We can say briefly that the confusion of globalization with westernization distracts attention from the many potential benefits of global integration. Globalization is a historical process. It has offered an abundance of opportunities and rewards in the past and continues to do so today. The very existence of potentially large benefits makes the question of fairness in sharing the benefits of globalization so critically important. The central issue is the very unequal sharing of the benefits of globalization. The poor should get a fair share and opportunity. There is an urgent need for reforming institutional arrangements. Globalization deserves a reasoned defense but it also needs reform.
